Droplet Social is a social networking platform powered by blockchain technology. Droplet Social aims for a complete decentralization in the social networking experience without any centralized aspect to the application.
Social media has been a market sector that most blockchain projects have not been able to breakthrough due to technological barriers. The likes of projects running on the Ethereum blockchain had their difficulties with low throughput. Droplet Social decided to develop on Solana blockchain.
Serum is a DEX built on the Solana Blockchain. ecoSerum is an organization that is dedicated to building an ecosystem around Serum and Solana. Droplet Social has received a grant from the ecoSerum team for completing its alpha development.
Project Roadmap
As we have completed the alpha development of the application, Droplet Social will continue to further progress into different phases of the development. In the next phases of our development, our current on-chain messaging application will include NFT implementation, Telegram Integration, Blockchain games, Payment System, and more.
As the world moves towards decentralized systems and embraces censorship resistance, one of the key components will be allowing these properties in social networking systems. We’re excited to see what Droplet is building and look forward to continuing working with them-
